🌟 A Golden Wish Come True for Maureen 🌟

What an amazing day we’ve had celebrating a very special Golden Wish for Maureen at Croston Park!

The idea for Maureen’s wish was born during a wedding reminiscence session led by Wellbeing Coordinator Jenny. As the group shared memories of their special days, Maureen began reminiscing about her honeymoon in Lytham St Annes. She spoke fondly of the sea air, the peaceful walks along the promenade, and how she’d love nothing more than to visit one more time — to breathe in that sea air and dip her toes in the sea once again.

So, we made it happen.

As we arrived in Lytham, it truly felt like a walk down memory lane. Maureen shared stories of her time there, including the exact spot where she used to sit and enjoy her sandwiches. Her smile grew with each memory she recalled.

We spent time on the beach, walked along the seafront, and even enjoyed a little train ride — taking in the sights, the breeze, and the joy of being by the sea. While the tide was too far out for a paddle in the sea, we found a nearby paddling pool where Maureen could dip her feet and enjoy a quiet, happy moment. That simple experience brought so much joy.

Maureen summed it up beautifully:
“Thank you for a wonderful day and for the sea air on my face.”

It was a truly magical day that meant the world to Maureen — and to all of us who had the pleasure of sharing it with her. Another unforgettable Golden Wish granted. 💙
