Training & Qualifications

All new team members receive a full induction and ongoing support. We offer:

  • The Care Certificate for those new to care

  • NVQs and Diplomas in Health & Social Care (Levels 2–5)

  • Specialist training in areas like dementia care, medication management, end-of-life care, and more

  • Access to external courses and university-accredited training, including leadership development and dementia care mapping

Thinking about joining Park Lane Healthcare? 
Here are some of the most common questions we get from people interested in working with us.

  • No experience? No problem. Many of our team members started with no background in care. We provide full training and support, including a comprehensive induction and the Care Certificate.

  • All new starters receive hands-on training and shadowing during their induction. We also offer ongoing opportunities to complete NVQs/Diplomas, specialist care training (e.g. dementia, end-of-life), and leadership development.

  • We regularly recruit for Care Assistants, Senior Carers, Nurses, Kitchen Assistants, Housekeeping/Domestic staff, Activities Coordinators, and Admin roles. All current vacancies are listed on our website.

  • We offer flexible working patterns, including full-time, part-time, and bank shifts (as-needed basis). Shift patterns may include days, nights, and weekends depending on the role.

  • Yes. All team members are required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as part of our safeguarding process. We’ll guide you through this and cover the cost.

  • For most roles, formal qualifications aren’t required to start. We’ll support you to work toward industry-recognised qualifications once you're in post.

  • After applying, shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview — either in person or via video. If successful, we’ll carry out references and a DBS check before confirming your start date.

  • Absolutely. We’re passionate about promoting from within. Many of our Managers and Senior Carers started in entry-level roles. With training and support, your career can grow with us.

  • Yes — we provide all staff with a free uniform appropriate to your role.
